CDG Hosts Exhibit, Technical Briefing at S1000D User Forum
Long Beach, Calif., Sept. 21, 2016 – Continental DataGraphics (CDG), a wholly- owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] announced it will host an exhibit and feature a technical presentation at the upcoming S1000D User Forum in Seville, Spain on September 26-29.
As a guest speaker at this industry-leading event, Vic Ortega, S1000D Architect for CDG, will host a technical briefing entitled “Managing Supply Chain Data for Modern Aircraft: Making the Transition to S1000D”.
Commenting on the learning opportunities offered by the S1000D User Forum, Ortega noted, “We are finding that many of our customers who are involved in ATA standards-based technical authoring for commercial airplane programs are also being asked to provide S1000D formatted documentation for military aircraft programs as well. While authoring in multiple standards may seem challenging at first, it can be done with the proper up-front planning and tools in place. We are hoping to share some of our insights and lessons learned on how to approach this dual standards environment for technical authoring.”
CDG sales and subject matter expert staff will also be available in exhibit booth # 5 on site at the User Forum, providing information about upcoming enhancements for the Inmedius® S1000D Publishing Suite™ software applications and CDG technical authoring, engineering, and eLearning content development services. Software demonstrations will include a preview of an upcoming release of Inmedius® S1000Dprism™, an S1000D technical publications viewer featuring a streamlined new user interface and architecture offering flexible options for either mobile device or desktop access.
