Boeing Subsidiary Continental DataGraphics Continues Growth, Expands Into New UK Facility

WELWYN GARDEN CITY, UNITED KINGDOM, Feb. 19, 2016 – Continental DataGraphics (CDG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced today the opening of a new, larger site in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The expanded operation will enable CDG to provide technical lifecycle services to more global aviation customers. The new facility – one of four CDG sites in the UK – was officially opened by Marc Allen, senior vice president of The Boeing Company and president of Boeing International.

“Boeing in its centennial year is a world-leading, agile aerospace business that works hard to meet customers’ needs and exceed their expectations in all areas of operations, including the technical services provided by the experts at CDG,” said Allen. “Our success as a company is down to our people who all deliver for our customers. I am grateful to the team here in Welwyn Garden City for continually striving for excellence, growing and thriving within a tough competitive environment.”

CDG is headquartered in Long Beach, California, and operates from sites in the United States, Europe and India. The company supports a broad range of industry sectors, including commercial and VIP aviation, aerospace and defence, manufacturing and others. CDG employs 170 people in the UK and more than 1,200 staff worldwide.

“CDG continues to build on its success in the UK by diversifying the business and increasing our areas of support both to Boeing and our commercial customers,” said Andrew Masson, Managing Director of CDG UK. “These new offices have been designed with a mind-set to inspire creativity and innovation, enabling our teams to effectively collaborate together and find ways to better meet the needs of our customers with continuous improvements in the quality, efficiency and value of our services.”

“CDG is a great example of the breadth of work Boeing and its family of subsidiaries do in the UK; a growing operation that innovates and partners to better provide for our customers,” said Sir Michael Arthur, president of Boeing in the UK and Ireland. “Boeing employs twice as many people in the UK as we did five years ago and we spend more than twice as much with our UK suppliers as we did three years ago. All of which is delivering enhanced prosperity to this country.”
