T-Files

What are T-Files?

T-Files are a standard method of delivering parts provisioning data associated with commercial aircraft operations. Most major aircraft OEMs require that their component suppliers deliver provisioning data T-Files. This T-Files data helps the OEMs provide guidance and recommendations to aircraft operators on the initial level of parts that should be available to support operations at the initial delivery of the aircraft to the operator.

T-Files can also be periodically updated to reflect changes such as fleet operations changes, or structural changes or modifications to the aircraft.

If supplier provisioning T-Files are not accurate, they can be rejected by the aircraft manufacturer, and the process has to be repeated all over again.
